Cox College Alumna passes away
We lost a precious life this week to complications with COVID-19. Adrienne Phelps, a 2012 Cox College graduate, was only 36 years old. Adrienne was a talented nurse, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. She worked for CoxHealth in the past, but had been taking some time off to care for her children. Our thoughts are with Adrienne and her family during this extremely difficult time.
Please wear your mask and socially distance yourself from others, if possible. Lives depend on it.
SRC Resume Workshops
Writing a strong resume is important, but can be tricky! Cox College’s Student Resource Center (SRC) will be putting on resume writing workshops to help you gain the knowledge and skills you need to impress employers. There are three in-person sessions, as well as some online Zoom sessions. To see a full list of the workshop dates and sign-up links, click the link below!
Counselor on staff
Counseling services are available to Cox College students via online virtual visits with Dr. Raquel Morrow, a licensed professional counselor. We understand how difficult classes can be in addition to the stressors of everyday life. The primary goal is to promote students’ personal development and psychological well-being.
Our services can help by:
- Providing a safe, supportive, and confidential environment in which students can talk through thoughts, feelings, stresses, relationships, and other issues
- Promoting self-awareness to reveal strengths and weaknesses
- Encouraging changes where needed and offering effective coping strategies
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Morrow, please send an email to Raquel.Morrow@coxcollege.edu. Services are typically available between 8am – 5pm.
Virtual Graduation
For those that have not heard, we are conducting graduation virtually for our Spring and Fall 2020 graduates. Our marketing team has been working on a virtual video experience that will still provide an impactful, congratulatory ceremony to celebrate our graduates. We hope you will join us online for this event on December 18.
